Theresa Lam
Strictly speaking, Theresa is not from Hong Kong. She is from the tiny island called Cheung Chau, about 1 hours’ ferry-ride away from Hong Kong island. Born and raised there, Theresa was fortunate enough to get into one of the elite girls’ school in Hong Kong, thereafter further studies in the United Kingdom. During her stay in the UK, she met and fell in love with a Malaysian Chinese.
In 1995, Theresa got married and moved to Kuala Lumpur. Due to her strong Hong Kong Cantonese accent, she was recognised as a 'foreigner' almost everywhere she went and by everyone she met. Trying to be more 'malaysianised', Theresa refrained herself from her favourite canto-pop music and Hong Kong entertainment news, but yet she felt worse and lost...
In 2008, Chan Tai Man introduced Theresa to try out as voice-over talent and from there she got involved with chanfong.com.
Theresa is a book addict with nearly +10.00 prescription for her short-sightedness. She shares with us in 'Reading Corner' books she has read and her soul searching journey.
